Chris Lawson was born and raised in Newport Beach in Southern California.
At the age of 19, whilst pursuing an active modeling career, surfing, and traveling overseas, Chris surrendered his life to Jesus Christ.
With a pastors heart and a deep desire to see people come to know the real Jesus of the Bible, Chris began serving the LORD amongst the local surfing community and beyond.
Since 1989, Chris has been involved in various aspects of ministry including pastoring, missions (Indonesia, England, Scotland, South india, Romania), church planting, prison ministry, children's ministry, Christian research and apologetics, evangelism, etc.
After serving for ten years in church planting and as an Associate Pastor at Calvary Chapel San Luis Obispo, (Central California; 1993-2003), Chris and his family transplanted their ministry to the United Kingdom.
For four years the Lawson's lived on the seaside of Edinburgh, Scotland, reaching out to as many people as possible and assisting in different ways at a local Christian fellowship, a retirement home and a seaside primary school.
In the Fall of 2004, as one of several avenues of missions outreach in Edinburgh, Chris began the Spiritual Research Network (SRN).
In the Spring of 2007, Chris and his family relocated back to the Central Coast of California where they now carry on the SRN ministry.
The primary Scripture that the SRN ministry is based upon comes from Philippians 1:9-11:
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.
Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
